The figure, and therefore the human condition, is the theme of my work.
In The Perfect Storm the central transparent figure with his back to the viewer looks towards an elusive landscape. One may wonder if the marks and atmospheric forms behind him are his innermost thoughts, his past or just a landscape. The juxtaposition of various techniques and the use of a variety of materials helps me to express such themes as conflict and personal fulfillment.
